Breathable Tri-Laminate Drysuit - Manufacturer and Supplier

We use breathable tri-laminate fabric produced by Japan, Taiwan and China manufacturers to make drysuit for various purposes. Breathable tri-laminate fabric is a material that allows the body to get rid of moisture, but it also has a certain waterproof performance. Allows the wearer to keep the body dry in a humid environment. It is mainly used to make amphibious drysuits that take into account the diving performance, surface drysuits (surfing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, boating, etc.) and rescue drysuits.

The outer layer of breathable tri-laminate fabric is usually nylon or Cordura®, the middle layer is usually a waterproof and breathable membrane (PU, PTFE, PU + PTFE), and the inner layer is usually tricot. We meet customer needs through different combinations. Due to the limitation of its own material (the middle layer membrane), PU film is prone to yellowing and cracking, PTFE film is easy to layer, and is not resistant to folding, so its durability is not as good as that of butyl tri-laminate fabric. The recommended service life is 1 - 2 years (depending on different materials).

Explain: The amphibious drysuits originated from the assault drysuit of the navy / air force special forces, that is, they need to keep the combatants dry before arriving at the combat site (transport aircraft, helicopters and submarine transportation). After arriving at the combat site, there is no need to change suits and can directly conduct penetration operations in the underwater environment. Based on this demand, a military assault drysuit made of breathable tri-laminate fabric was developed that can be used in amphibious environment.

Note: In recent years, with the demand for lightweight drysuits for recreational diving, many brands have launched casual drysuits based on navy assault drysuits. We also follow the trend and produce such products, but it must be pointed out that , This product is not exactly the same as diving drysuit. It is a kind of drysuits that takes into account both water and underwater performance. For diving applications, it is only suitable for a depth of no more than 20 meters (depending on different materials, usually 10 meters depth), so it is not a professional diving drysuit.

Explain: We use breathable tri-laminate fabric to make surface drysuits, so that users can keep dry when participating in various water sports in cold weather and humid environment, which is very suitable for surfing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, boating and other sports. Surface drysuit usually use high breathable fabric, the water pressure resistance is lower than that of amphibious drysuits and is not suitable for diving applications.

Note: Surface drysuits are waterproof and breathable, but does not have thermal insulation performance, and users need to configure thermal undersuits. Usually we use the regular style of front zipper or back zipper, but if necessary, waist loop zipper can also be provided. Optional men's front urinal zipper and women's hip arc zipper make it more convenient to go to the toilet. If necessary, we can also be equipped with an dump valve to exhaust the air in the drysuits.

Explain: Rescue drysuits are mainly used for water rescue and deep sea rescue. Coast guard, fire department, rescue team are the main users. Users can wear rescue drysuits before departure. The moisture permeability function does not make the user feel sweltering. After arriving at the mission site, it can be launched immediately to perform tasks. And because of the waterproof function, it can keep the user dry and complete the task perfectly.

Note: Rescue drysuits optional back zipper or front diagonal zipper, and crotch zipper (No need to take off the clothes go to the toilet), no inflation / exhaust valves (Water surface rescue only, no diving required), sometimes equipped with dump valve, usually equipped with socks, neck and wrists use seals to prevent water ingress (Usually latex seals).

Usually, we use the American Standard ASTM E96/E96M method for moisture permeability test. This method specifies six test procedures. The test results obtained by different test procedures or even different versions of the same test procedure are very different. When comparing the performance indicators of related products, it is necessary to pay attention to the test program and version. The results of different programs and versions are not comparable.

Note: Breathable tri-laminate drysuit are not suitable for diving, but because of its light and low-cost characteristics, many brands have launched ultra-lightweight travel drysuit (equipped with inflation valve and exhaust valve) made based on breathable tri-laminate fabric, but it can generally only be used for diving at a depth of no more than 10 meters. In fact, there are also lightweight options for butyl tri-laminate fabric, but the price is more expensive than breathable tri-laminate fabric.

Drysuits Leaking and Maintenance Problems:

All our drysuits are tested for pressure leaks in a test pool before leaving the factory to ensure that the drysuits do not leak when shipped, but the harsh transportation environment (Abnormal collision and squeezing) and incorrect storage (abnormal squeezes) occasionally cause water leaks (rarely found).

Unless drysuits are rarely used, water leakage is practically impossible to avoid. Due to the use environment, strength, habits, matching, cleaning and storage methods and occasions, component life and aging and other factors, many drysuits are used after dozens to hundreds of times, it will happen water leaks.

Leaking does not mean that drysuits can no longer be used, most of the water leakage conditions can be repaired. We provide warranty services (quality problems) and repair services (use problems). Unless the aging material has no repair value, everything else can be repaired.

Under normal circumstances, common simple problems are recommended to customers to repair by themselves (such as small leaks, etc.) to save time and transportation costs. We have optional repair kits when we leave the factory, and various repair kits are also available on the market. If there is a big problem, it is recommended that the customer return to the factory for repair (for example: replacing the waterproof zipper, repairing a large break, etc.).
